Why do I like to sing ballads?
Most of the time I sing very deep lyrics and when I've written a ballad, I've usually written it for a sad reason. Lyrically, however, I always got the curve to the positive at the end. It is always important for me to create a positive statement in my own lyrics at the end. It is important to give hope in the lyrics as well. Then of course it is also the case that my voice feels most comfortable in ballads. Be it on the piano, be it on an acoustic guitar or when I am accompanied by strings. There's nowhere I can bring as much emotion into it as I can in a ballad. You can vary a lot with your voice and include people in your musical dream. It's important to me that people feel and understand what I sing. It has always been important to me how much peace and freedom to use, because that's just the basis for everything.
I like every genre of music and every genre has the right to be recognized. But I feel at home in beautiful ballad music and in country music. I go into it and let myself dream.
But the most important thing for me is that my friends and fans dream the musical dream together with me. It also makes me happy when people who have seen my concerts go home afterwards and are happy with new hope. I enjoy being a bearer of hope in music, because that makes me happy.
But the greatest gift is that God gave me this talent and I have to use this talent responsibly. It is quite normal for me to pray before every performance and to ask God to give me the strength and conviction in my contact to make other people happy with my music.
